A game – or perhaps not. In any case it‘s nothing like any other game. This CD-ROM promotes variations on works by absurdist Austrian poet Ernst Jandl; it inspires the user to imitate his writings, experiment, try out different things and make discoveries. It also challenges the visitor to interact with language. Based on the poem ‘Niederzählung' (Downnarration), one‘s own ‘lifetime' is 'narrated down' back to the moment of one‘s conception. Once the user reaches 'zero', the game is over. However, this race against the clock also provides plenty of opportunity to dawdle, rest and take a look at the various ‘keywords' concealing riddles and variations.
