Ulrike Rosenbach
«Heracles – Hercules – King Kong»
A large-format installation featuring a photographic reproduction of the legendary Greek hero Hercules and, recessed in the photo wall, a video monitor. Its screen shows an infinitely looped sequence in which Ulrike Rosenbach breathes in and out the word 'Frau' ('woman'), in order to break up from within the power of the male image which, in a caricature of horror, turns into King Kong.
