«Dog-Ma – The Canis Minor Mission»
The Internet project ‘Dog-Ma96', which is equally suitable for presentation as an installation, is conceived as a work in progress. Dog-Ma is a spaceship employed for diverse missions in space, and was first launched in November 1996 to carry out ‘The Canis Minor Mission'. Up to the last, the paraphrastic combination of the canine and manned space missions leaves the visitor in doubt as to what exactly is serious and what is humorous about the venture. The hyperlinks to numerous scientific addresses on the Internet with relevance for the world & space in the wider sense lead the visitor away from ironic fiction into the virtual realm of authentic research (NASA, Amundsen Arctis Station, etc.).
