b 1958; studied at the Hochschule für angewandte Kunst (College of Applied Art), Vienna (A); work in the areas of video installation, room installation, and sculpture; 1994 co-founder of the Internet cultural server «The Thing Vienna»; since 1995, Professor at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (College of Graphic and Book Art), Leipzig; lives and works in Leipzig and Vienna.
