Iván Marino
b 1968 in Rosario, Argentina. Video artist and multimedia-author. He was a visiting student at the Film Institute of the Berlin School of Art (Hdk) and the Film and Television Department of the University of California, Los Angeles (USA). Marino lives and works in Spain, has a professorship for video and interactive systems at the School of Design ESDi (Sabadell), and teaches a master’s course at the MECAD / Media Centre of Art & Design (Barcelona). His works were shown at major media-art festivals throughout Europe, in USA, and in different Latin American countries. Parallel to video art, since the end of the 1990s he also develops Internet art and multimedia projects. In 2003 he produced his streaming-video-related work «In Death’s Dream Kingdom,» which also represents a new stage of his output.
