Joan Heemskerk, * 1968 in Kaatsheue (NL), and Dirk Paesmans, * 1965 in Brussels (B), who studied with Nam June Paik at the Kunstakademie in Dusseldorf in the 1980s, have been working together since 1994 under the artistic name of Jodi; live in Barcelona (E); their Internet projects which simulate browser bugs and system errors belong to the most consequential formulations of what has become known as net.art since the mid-1990s.
