Studied Art History, Literature, Anthropology, Biology at the universities of Kiel, Hamburg and Bielefeld (D); she works as a curator in the fields of art, dance / performance and new media; 1990 curator for Siemens Kulturprogramm, Munich; 1993 grant of the Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut, Essen; 1994 grant of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) for the USA; 1996 PhD on the history and aethetics of interactive media artat the university of Hamburg; 1997 publication of «Pioniere Interaktiver Kunst von 1970 bis heute«; curator at the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg, a. o. with «InterAct!» (1997), «Connected Cities» (1999), «Unter der Haut» (2001); artistic director of «Cross Fair – Tanz und neue Technologien» (2000) and the workshop series «Tanz und neue Medien» at the Choreographisches Zentrum NRW, Essen (2001–2002); director of the city of Duisburg’s festival office; lives in Essen.
